About Us

White Gill have been designing and manufacturing marine thrusters since 1922, following the production of the very first thruster for inland waterway use.

Since the development and installation of the first ‘deep sea’ marine thruster unit in 1966, White Gill Thrusters have been produced for a variety of ship board installations and have demonstrated many unique advantages over tunnel type and retractable thrusters.

Previously owned by Elliott Turbomachinery as the Elliott White Gill Thruster, we here at Tees have worked closely with Elliotts on the White Gill product since 1982, finally taking ownership of the product line in 2005.

The White Gill head office is located near Saltburn-by-the-sea, North East England. It is a division of Tees Components Limited, an established heavy engineering business providing precision CNC machining, fabrication, and assembly services.
